Interior designer Raili Clasen says the size of the beanbag chair contributes to its comfortability. “The first thing I’d look for is scale. Oversized is what would be the most inviting one," Clasen expalins.
When it comes down to the specifics of size and materials, you'll want to double-check your measurements and consider whether you're going to move the beanbag around the house, Kay advises.
"If it's a child's playroom, I like a smaller scale beanbag that offers some support as a reading chair, for example," Kay says. "If it's extra seating in a main living space, I prefer more of a flexible shape that offers a comfy perch depending on the occasion."
