If there is anything I love about makeup, it’s all the different looks you can create. From bold to natural, you can use as much or as little as you want. When it comes to my routine, I fall right in between both, but sometimes I’m just not up to sitting down and doing my makeup for 15 minutes, and I want something easy to put on.

Why I tried the Jones Road Beauty Miracle Balm All Over Glow
I find myself stocking up on bronzers or blushes of all shades because I never know when I need to “change it up”, especially in between seasons. That's why I gravitate towards products that will save me a lot of time doing my makeup. Since this Jones Road miracle balm is tinted and looks easy to apply, I knew it was something I needed to try.
Why I like the Jones Road Beauty Miracle Balm All Over Glow
It's shimmery and tinted
This Dusty Rose color is very light and not too bold like some bronzers and blushes I’ve tried. I find it light enough for the cozy season, and it suits my taste for how much color I am looking for.
The best part about this balm is that the color is buildable, it goes on almost sheer. Once you’ve cracked the seal of the product, you can layer on as little or as much as you want without having to guess and overdo it.
It gives me a natural glow
The only makeup I applied before using the balm was some concealer for my blemishes. All that glow is coming from this balm! I love that it makes my skin look glassy while also giving me a natural tinted color.
Also, I think this balm will be a great product for sunny beach days for a hint of color, a “no-makeup makeup look,” or mornings when you’re running low on time. You can apply it alone or on top of concealer, like how I did.
Packing is ideal for travel
A win for me is the size and packaging. It's small enough to fit just about anywhere for travel, and its cap is twistable. You can carry it in your work bag or makeup bag for travel, and it won't take up too much space. Because this is a balm, you are getting a lot of product from this by rubbing into it, versus a moisturizer that you would be scooping out of.
What to consider
The texture is thick and sticky
This formula has a thicker texture, which isn’t ideal for those who prefer something lighter on their cheeks. This balm does go on the skin pretty smoothly, but I highly suggest rubbing your fingers into the product and warming it up. This technique makes it easier to apply.
During and after applying, it felt a bit heavy on my skin. It gave me a glow that looked great; however, the feeling took some getting used to. I found that my hair would get stuck to my cheeks during the day, too.
Reviews on the Jones Road website claim they also felt this way when applying the balm to their cheeks. But to help alleviate this, the brand recommends skipping or using a light moisturizer before, or using a translucent powder to mattify desired areas.
It has a strong product smell
Initially, when I opened the balm and applied it onto my cheeks, I couldn't quite makeout what I was smelling. It reminded me of something almost stale or vintage. A scent that I definitely compared to the product's name, 'Dusty Rose'. For some who are not sensitive to smells, this won't be a problem! Just be aware if you are, like me.
Who is Jones Road Beauty Miracle Balm All Over Glow best for?
If you have combo/dry skin or struggle with retaining moisture on your skin with or without makeup, this might work for you. Since it has a thick texture, I find it almost perfect if you don’t get oily fast, especially throughout the day.
For those new to makeup and not sure where to start, this is an easy product to help introduce you. This balm is great for building on looks and also achieving that natural “no-makeup makeup” look.
