Ingredients
- 1 cup raspberry jam
- 8 slice brioche bread
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoon instant dissolving sugar
- 1/4 cup orange liquor
- 4 cup eggs
- 4 tablespoon melted butter
Preparation
Baking Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Then:1. Spread a thin layer of jam on each slice of bread and with 2 slices of bread each, form sandwiches with the jam on the inside.
2. In a bowl, combine cream, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, orange liquor and eggs.
3.Dip sandwiches into batter and soak briefly.
4. Over medium heat, place a non-stick skillet and melt a tablespoon of the butter.
5.Cook the sandwiches in batches, cooking on both sides until golden, adding more butter to the pan for each batch.
6. Place sandwiches on a baking sheet and into the oven for 3-4 minutes to allow the batter to cook and the interior to heat.
7.Cut the finished French toast into 2 diagonal pieces, place on a platter and dust with powdered sugar.
Serve with syrup and crème fraîche.
