I’d love to say that I enjoy trying on bathing suits and posing for cute pics to put up on my Instagram, but truthfully, I really am much happier cheering on my friends from behind the camera. And while they look amazing in their tiny bikinis, me and my swimsuit anxiety prefer a sweet little one-piece.

But in all seriousness, I also frequently travel to places like India and countries in the Middle East, where I prefer to dress more modestly. I’m always looking for a one-piece swimsuit that’ll make me feel comfortable enough to actually enjoy my time outdoors, which is why I was excited to try this Ekouaer bathing suit. Now, I can focus more on getting that summer glow than being self-conscious.

Why I like this bathing suit

It's extremely comfortable

While a lot of bathing suits I have tend to feel extremely restrictive — almost like shapewear — I like that this has quite a bit of stretch to it (no uncomfortable wedgies here!). The fabric is stretchy and more soft than the lining in most other bathing suits I own. Plus, as someone with larger hips, I like that this offered ample coverage in that area.

It’s actually so comfortable that I once paired it with yoga pants for a Pilates class. It felt like I was in loungewear the whole time, mostly because the fabric has a little bit of give, especially in the waist where there is ruching. This also fits true to size. I am 5’6” and typically between a size 6 and 8. I ordered a Medium, which ended up being the perfect fit.

It has a versatile style

In addition to my Pilates class, I also wore this swimsuit with jeans one day, and I can easily see myself styling it with a denim skirt if I ever want to dress it up, or just some athletic shorts for a more low-key beach look. (This style is like the LBD of bathing suits.) The ruched front looks super cute, and I'm a huge fan of the sweetheart neckline and adjustable straps, too.

I have a couple of vacations planned over the next month and already can’t wait to pack this. While most of my bathing suits need to be paired with a cover-up (in my opinion), this offers enough full coverage that I feel comfortable enough to go without one.

I also know this swimsuit will be coming with me on all my future trips to places where I need to be modestly dressed. I usually only pack a carry-on, so I like how this will save me space since it doubles as a bodysuit. I got the brown color, so I can easily pair it with yoga pants to grab a morning coffee, or a sundress before going to the pool or lunch.
