Truth be told, I have about a million and one sweaters in my closet right now. I rotate through them throughout the fall, winter and spring months. And I much prefer to rock a sweater with jeans, and over a dress and tights when it’s freezing cold outside.
While there’s a time and place for a big, chunky knit sweater ensemble, the versatility of a lightweight sweater just can’t be beaten. So, when I saw this lightweight and cotton- and cashmere-blend sweater from Quince, I knew I had to give it a test run.

Why I tried the Quince Cotton Cashmere V-Neck Sweater
As I mentioned, I am a sweater gal through and through. I really love dressing up a basic sweater with jewelry, a pretty scarf, or a sleek jacket. I wanted to try out this option because not only is it super affordable at $30, but I also knew I’d be able to style this piece in a million different ways.
Another reason I wanted to try out this sweater was because of the V-neck style. I like to make my own necklaces at home, and I figured that the V-neck aspect would help show off my latest and greatest designs around my neck.
Why I like the Quince Cotton Cashmere V-Neck Sweater
It’s lightweight and can easily tuck into anything
I love this sweater for so many reasons. First of all, I appreciate that it’s a lightweight and thin material. It’s made with 65% organic cotton, 32% ecovero viscose, and 3% cashmere. It’s soft enough to be comfy, but not heavy enough to make you sweat profusely.

Because it’s so lightweight, you can tuck it into everything easily. Sometimes I have issues tucking in a really thick sweater into my jeans. It ends up looking kinda lumpy and leaves an unsightly “blouson effect,” where the sweater looks overly puffed and billowed over my jeans. Thankfully, you don’t need to worry about that with this sweater. It’s incredibly easy to tuck into your jeans or a skirt, and fits your upper body nicely without being too tight.
It’s easy to layer for fall or winter
I also like that the thin material allows you to layer this underneath a tight-fitting jacket. I have a few moto-jackets that are a bit more tight-fitting than some of my looser jackets, and I love wearing this sweater underneath those tighter jackets because it still leaves some room without feeling like you’re suffocating. This sweater underneath a jacket looks more put together and elevated than if you were to wear just a plain, long-sleeved shirt underneath.

It comes in multiple colors
One of the best parts about this sweater is that it comes in seven colors. Most come in neutral colorways, which makes them incredibly easy to style with different shades of jeans, pants, jackets and skirts.
It can be worn in different sizes, depending on your preference
This sweater comes in five sizes, from XS-XL, and I found that it runs true to size. If you prefer a bit of a tighter fit that’s close to your body, you should opt for your regular size. However, this sweater would also look great if worn a bit loose. For a more “slouchy-sweater” look, consider sizing up one.
What to consider
Even though the name of this sweater includes cashmere, it’s only made with 3% cashmere. While the fabric is definitely soft, it’s not as soft as your typical cashmere sweater that you’d pay the big bucks for. I would say that it mostly feels like a stretchy, breathable cotton sweater that’s soft and not rigid or stiff — but still high-quality fabric at an incredible price.
