Wedding guest dress trends in 2024
When it comes to wedding guest dress trends, contemporary style is in. "The most popular wedding dress colors this year range from sugary pastels to vibrant jewel tones like emerald green and ruby red," says New York based, world-renowned professional and celebrity stylist, Samantha Brown.
"Solid colors in silky fabrics, pleated details and a range of hemlines including floor length and high/low. Bows and rosettes are very popular, giving feminine detail to evening silhouettes," she continues."
Brown goes on to say, "Sparkly jewels used to dominate formal affairs, but wedding guests look very modern with sculptural jewelry sans stones."
You'll also want to be mindful of the color palette and your choice of footwear, New-York based fashion and beauty journalist Zanna Roberts Rassi says. Opt for breathable fabrics and fun prints — leave heavy fabrics like denim and wool out of the equation.

“Beach weddings are hard to beat — but they can be a tricky puzzle when it comes to what you should wear,” admits Allison Cullman, wedding expert and VP brand marketing & strategy at Zola. “If you’re going formal, dress elegantly with a maxi dress or linen suit. If the dress code is casual, you could opt for a daytime or flowy dress or pants with a linen shirt,” she says.
