We've been covering Prime Day since it started and have naturally honed our deal-hunting skills over the years. But with hundreds of thousands of deals across the web today, how do we find the best ones? Well, here's our process: First, we prioritize known retailers and focus on products with high ratings or verified reviews. Whether we're looking for deals for our readers or ourselves, we opt for sellers we're familiar with and scour reviews to guarantee we're finding a product that is the real deal.
When it comes to ensuring we're really getting the best discount, we then check CamelCamelCamel, an Amazon price checker that shows the history of the product and how the price has fluctuated to make sure we're scoring the item at its lowest.
From there, we look at alternative retailers (did you know Target is also having major sales events right now?) to see how the deals compare because saving money is always a priority.
Amazon Prime Day deals recommended by editors
Just like you, our team likes to use this shopping event to restock their favorites. Editor Vivien Moon is picking up more shampoo from OGX while it's nearly 40% off.
“This is my go-to overnight lip mask/chapstick!” exclaims associate editor Sierra Hoeger. “This was rightfully trending a few years ago and for good reason: It truly keeps lips nourished and hydrated overnight, leaving them fully moisturized come morning.”

Two items that I swear by that I know she’ll love and that are conveniently on sale this week are these scrunchies (which equal out to just over $1 for each scrunchie) and this air-dry cream from Divi."

Cleaning the bathroom is rarely a favorite task on the to-do list, but that doesn’t mean it has to actually feel like a chore. "We’ve written about Wet & Forget a few times (it even landed in our Ranked shower cleaners story as being Best for Heavy-Duty Grime!), so now feels like the perfect time to finally commit to it," says Bender.
