One Tomato Lazy Rice

Ingredients

  • 3 cups white rice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup edamame
  • 1/3 cup corn
  • 1/3 cup diced carrots
  • 1/3 cup diced mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup Chinese sausage (optional)
  • 1 medium tomato

If you are lazy, this recipe is for you. It's so easy.

Technique tip: Use the cup which comes with the rice cooker to measure the rice. The ratio of rice to water is 1:1.2. The more advanced rice cooker has a water line: For 3 cups of rice, add water to line 3.

Preparation

1.

Add all the ingredients except the tomato to the rice cooker, starting with the rice and water.

Cut an X across the top of the tomato and place in the center.

3.

Close the lid and turn on the rice cooker.

4.

When done, mix together and serve.
