Chef notes

Sure, you can go the traditional egg nog route. But crushed candy canes give this classic drink some major holiday oomph.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup good-quality egg nog
  • 2 ounces Kahlua
  • 1 ounce Creme de Menthe
  • Candy canes, pulverized in a food processer
  • Bar of milk chocolate
  • Mint

Preparation

1.

Add egg nog, Kahlua and Creme de Menthe in a shake.  Gently shake until frothy.

2.

Rim glass mug with crushed candy cane and pour into a glass.

3.

Garnish with milk chocolate shavings and mint sprig.
