I love this festive milkshake because I can make the nonalcoholic version for the whole family to enjoy when hosting or add a little Irish vodka to make these more adult-friendly for St. Patrick's Day festivities.

Swap option: Not a fan of mint chocolate chip ice cream? Feel free to swap in your favorite flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup marshmallows from cereal, such as Lucky Charms, plus more for topping
  • 1 cup milk
  • cups mint chocolate chip ice cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup Irish vodka (optional)
  • whipped cream, for topping

Preparation

1.

Add the marshmallows to a blender and blend until powdery (it's good to leave a few larger chunks).

Add the milk to a mixing bowl and pour in the blended marshmallows.

Stir to combine, then let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, add the ice cream, marshmallow milk and vanilla extract to a blender. To make it more St. Patty's Day fête appropriate, add your Irish vodka.

Blend until combined and pour into glasses. Top with whipped cream and garnish with some extra marshmallows.
