Chef notes

When you want to eat your candy and drink it too, this milkshake is great for the kid in all of us.

Swap Option: Use a sherbet or cherry ice cream instead of vanilla for more of a tropical flavor.

Ingredients

Marshmallow Pops
  • 1 14-ounce bag Skittles
  • 3 large marshmallows
  • Water
  • 3 striped straws
Milkshake
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted
  • Nonpareils sprinkles, for garnish
  • 2 ounce Skittles simple syrup (1 part water, 1 part sugar)
  • 1 ½ cups vanilla bean ice cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Whipped cream
  • 3 marshmallow pops

Preparation

To make the marshmallow pops: Divide skittles by color and pulverize each in food processor until a fine powder.  Push straws into center of marshmallows and carefully wet marshmallows with water until damp. Dip each marshmallow in a different color of Skittles powder and set aside to dry.

Prepare glass by dipping rim in melted white chocolate and then rolling in sprinkles.  Set aside.  Into a blender, mix Skittles simple syrup, ice cream and milk until smooth. Pour into glass and top with whipped cream and garnish with marshmallows pops and sprinkles! Serve with a spoon.
