Blind skateboarder navigates by hearing


Skateboarder Tommy Carroll lost his sight to retinal cancer at age 2 and has prosthetics where his eyes used to be. But the college sophomore found his love for skating in third grade and uses his hearing to orient himself as he moves around a skate park. Though he does sometimes fall, the worst he’s ever done is chip a tooth.
