As most of US partially reopens, Trump says ‘we’re back’ with or without vaccine: TODAY’s top stories

19:41

By the end of the weekend, 48 states will have started partially reopening, as some health researchers say only 9 states have met coronavirus testing levels to safely reopen. The director of the CDC says the agency’s models predict more than 100,000 COVID-related deaths in the country by June 1. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump says he wants coronavirus vaccines by the end of the year as the House passes a new $3 trillion relief package. NASCAR President Steve Phelps also joins to discuss the first race in 10 weeks. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez, Kelly O’Donnell, Jo Ling Kent, Dylan Dreyer and Ron Allen report for Weekend TODAY.
