"Dr Teal’s epsom salts have been a presence in my bathroom ever since I was a competitive dancer in my teens and regularly used it to soothe body-wide aches and pains," says deputy managing editor, Jess Bender. "While I still rely on it to calm down my leg muscles after strenuous spin and yoga sessions, the Soothe & Sleep variation — loaded with lavender essential oil — has been a revelation when it comes to providing more consistent sleep throughout more stressful periods when my mind can’t seem to shut off."
Bender's testament is proof that the ingredients within truly work: lavender essential oils aim to calm down your body and mind, while epsom salts work to relieve aches and pains.
Associate editor Kamari Stewart noticed a near-immediate difference in her hair after switching to these satin pillowcasescompared to the cotton one she had been previously using.
"My hair wasn’t as tangled or frizzy as it was while using cotton pillowcases," she says. "I consider myself a 'hard sleeper,' aka I move around a lot throughout the night, so I’d gotten used to waking up to tangles, frizz and broken hairs left behind. That wasn’t the case the morning after using these satin pillowcases."

This product is a dual-award winner, also earning the award for best value lip mask during our Shop TODAY 2025 Beauty Awards. During the Shop TODAY 2025 Sleep Awards, it earns the title of best overall lip mask.
"I'm picky about my lip balms and masks and this one really impressed me!" says editorial assistant, Madison San Miguel. "The packaging is HUGE, for one, so it should last you a while since only a tiny amount goes far. But second, it's very very moisturizing — it sort of feels like it's wrapping around your lips, in a good way. I love using it at night, in particular, when my lips need extra moisture."
Described as comfortable and lightweight by production coordinator, Camryn Privette, this nightgown proves to be most ideal for those who run warm while sleeping.
It’s made out of a polyester and spandex fabric blend, which is recommended by experts for warmer conditions as it’s lightweight and doesn’t allow moisture to seep in.
Midnight snack runs just got a whole lot easier, thanks to these motion sensor lights. They’re available in a 2-pack, and easily plug into any traditional outlet.
“They’re bright enough that you can see where you’re going in a dark room,” says commerce integrations producer, Checka Ciammaichelli. “I have one in my hallway and bedroom and they both make going to the bathroom in the middle of the night much less treacherous.”
“I could talk about these for hours (but I won’t), so I’ll just say this: they are truly the easiest, quickest and least harmful way to curl your hair,” says associate producer, Alexa Arent. “I wrap my hair before bed, and thanks to it’s comfortable design, sleep like a baby just to wake up with the most gorgeous curls.”
These heat-free curlers were carefully crafted with satin fabric, to help reduce frizz and make them easier to undo in the morning.
Associate editor Shannon Garlin has been using this sound machine for the past three years to help lull her to sleep. She compliments the ability to opt between pink, brown and white noises, as well as the fact that it has a little night light to illuminate bedrooms.
"These are amazing!" praises commerce editor and producer, Julie Ricevuto. "The satin fabric doesn't pull on your skin and it's cushioned [and] padded for extra comfort."
Similar to the heatless curlers, this eye mask prioritizes comfort thanks to its entirely satin construction and padding to prevent light from peeking through.
This subtle night light will blend in to match any bedroom aesthetic effortlessly and provide ample amount of light to help you navigate your way to the bathroom or the kitchen for a late night snack.
There’s four different versions of this face mask, each with different ingredients to achieve various goals. This specific one is crafted with collagen and niacinamide, that works while you sleep to moisturize the skin.
“My skin is also super moisturized and glowing when I wake up after using this!” praises San Miguel.
This lightweight robe is made out of a cotton and polyester fabric blend that also employs a waffle knit pattern to help it remain your go-to item to reach for after every shower. It's soft to the touch, providing a luxurious feel at an affordable price.
Associate social media editor Daniella Musacchio only has one regret about these curtains: not buying them sooner.
“Not only do they completely block out light, but they also help cool down my apartment during the summer,” she says. “For the price, I’m super impressed with the quality of these curtains — the fabric is so nice and soft!”
If you’re anything like me, you can’t help but fall victim to going to bed with wet hair (despite experts advising against it). This pillow hopes to reduce the damaging effects, thanks to its double-sided design.
On one side of the pillow is a traditional polyester fabric and on the other, a microfiber towel material and waterproof liner, to prevent water from seeping through to the other side.
These affordable sheets come in a range of colors and patterns, and felt "extremely soft" to the touch, per our testers.
"This remained supremely soft after every wash — in both cold and hot water," says deals editor, Rebecca Brown. "Tested it out in the summer and I wasn't sure if the sheets would retain heat, but I'm happy to report they didn't."
"I love how soft and cozy they are and genuinely have zero notes because they keep me cool and comfortable no matter how hot I run or how cold it might get, they're a treat to climb into each night," says editor Vivien Moon.
This set is made out of a microfiber fabric that promises to be "temperature-regulating, moisture-wicking and breathable."
Writer Emma Stessman appreciates this pillow for its unique shape, allowing her to "lie comfortably on my side without putting my head at an odd angle." Memory foam and polyurethane materials help this pillow remain breathable, per Stessman.
Experts we previously interviewed say this pillow is especially ideal for side sleepers, as it helps to align your neck and prevent aches or potential back pain.

“As somebody who regularly wakes up with a dry throat and irritated sinuses, a humidifier has been a huge help with improving my overall quality of sleep,” says Bender. “While I’m okay with living with a no-frills humidifier, this smart version from Dreo is super easy to use and customize based on my and my boyfriend’s different sleep schedules and humidity preferences. It also gives you alerts regarding when to clean the system and change out your filter, which is great for me since I tend to forget adding those tasks to my to-do list.”
Garlin has been utilizing Loop earplugs as part of her travel and nighttime routines for the past three years, saying they block noise from fellow passengers and city streets alike.
"I sleep soundly and can still hear my alarm in the morning," she says, adding that the Dream model "has a smaller and softer silicone body, which makes sleeping on your side so much more comfortable."

San Miguel admits that this product is "so worth the splurge!" It takes beauty sleep to the next level — with key ingredients like niacinmaide working to nourish hair overnight.
"While not a hair mask, this overnight hair serum helps protect my hair overnight so it is left detangled and softer in the morning," she says.
Senior social media editor Kate McCarthy says these are "everything you want in a slipper — they're soft, cozy, warm, but also supportive and durable."
They have an EVA outsole that makes them easy to toss on when watering plants, grabbing mail or walking around at a campground. Plus, a sheepskin interior lining helps them remain cozy without trapping heat, according to the brand.
“I’ve been using this pillow for the better part of two years now and won’t sleep without it,” says Stewart. “I’m a heavy side sleeper and this pillow has made a world of difference for me. I love that it just fits right in the crook between my head and shoulder.”
It appears brick-like (stiff appearance and a square shape), yet is made with the brand’s specific “aeropluff foam” that supports your head and neck while you snooze.
“I don’t know how I’ve went this long in life without using a weighted blanket, as this one helped me wind down better than a good book or cup of tea,” says associate editor, Allie Wise. “This budget-friendly blanket is super soft, durable and comes in a variety of colorways. Also, as someone who moves around a lot in their sleep, this trusted blanket helps me stay in one place.”
It has a cotton exterior and an interior filled with cooling glass beads whose purpose is to provide a cooling feeling, rather than trapping heat underneath.
Not only is this mask made out of soft and smooth silk fabric, but it includes three layers of padding to provide comfort and block light.
“I’ve become a sleep mask girlie in my 30s and I’ve tried quite a few — this is the best one,” says senior producer Lindsey Bomnin. “It’s fully light-blocking and adjustable without being too heavy, and it’s truly pillow soft.”
"While my bed is already comfortable (my mattress is under three years old) and I didn’t think I needed a mattress topper, I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely this topper was and how it definitely made a difference in my sleep," says Moon. "I love how easy it is to add to your bed and how comfortable it is, not too firm and not too plush. I wake up feeling refreshed and find myself falling asleep faster and staying asleep (a problem I have often)."
It's available in either 2" or 3" options, and is infused with cooling gel that regulates body temperature throughout the night, the brand says.
Trying to determine which fitness tracker is best for you in terms of sleep, tracking activity levels, heart rate and stress, without feeling bulky or weighing you down, can be overwhelming.
Fitbit is preferred by one editor for its "lightweight and small" design, "relatively accurate" sleep monitoring data and affordable price point.
If you can never seem to fluff your pillow enough or bend it every which way to find a comfortable position, Coop Sleep Goods has a solution: their adjustable memory foam pillow. Not only can you modify the amount of filling inside, but the pillow is designed to adapt to you and your sleeping position.
“I’ve been obsessed with these Coop pillows for years,” says Ciammaichelli. “You can adjust the amount of fluff inside to make it exactly what you want. The memory foam cradles your head so nicely.”
For an added level of comfort and support, these slippers mold to your feet after a couple weeks of wear. The wool fabric promises to regulate temperature within, providing a breathable and odor-free wear each time.
Over the past year or so, these slippers have become my “house shoes,” thanks to how easily they slip on and off, the cozy sheepskin lining and the EVA bottoms, that make it easy to pad around without slipping and sliding everywhere I walk.
The men's version features all the same qualities as the women's version above, helping him remain cozy and comfortable no matter where he chooses to wear these — at home, the patio, quick runs to the store and more.
"Forget the rude awakening of a blaring alarm in a pitch-black room... the gradual sunrise and gentle sounds make waking up so much more pleasant," says Ekman. "I feel less groggy and out of it when I wake up to this versus a standard alarm! Plus, it doubles as a noise machine!"
Toggle between nature sounds, a whirring fan and pink, white and brown noises alike, and also determine which color "sunrise" you want to wake up to easily in the Hatch app.
You've likely heard of cooling sheets, but what about a cooling comforter? The traditionally heavier bedding might not be the thing you want to cuddle up with at night, but Moon says this one is different — proving to remain lightweight and "amazing for summer."
It's crafted with the brand's unique BlendTek fabric, that utilizes a polygonal fiber structure that wicks away moisture, according to the brand.
"Purple calls this 'the greatest pillow ever invented' — and I have to agree," vows production associate, Audrey Ekman. "The unique, patented gel grid technology is so strangely satisfying to the touch and doesn't trap any heat. I am a notoriously bad sleeper and tend to wake up sweaty in the middle of the night, but ever since swapping out my pillow for the medium height version of this Harmony pillow, I haven't been having that issue."
It's a justified splurge, she admits, that's worth every penny to receive a better night's sleep.
"I've been using this weighted blanket for over a year now and whenever I sleep somewhere that's not my own bed, I find myself missing it," says Stessman. "The weight isn't overly heavy, but it provides a comfortable pressure that basically feels like a big hug and is ultra comforting as you sleep. Even my semi-insomiac sister has said that she notices a difference in her sleep quality when she's used it at my apartment. Plus, I love that it looks so stylish when draped across my bed."
This trending wellness device tracks sleep, monitors stress levels and allows you to see activity levels. Three of our editors recently tested it — praising the analytics provided in the app, setting them up for "readiness."
"While having an active lifestyle comes naturally to me, I have a hard time prioritizing sleep — and no other product has held me accountable to get those eight hours every night as well as my Oura ring," says associate partnerships editor, Lauren Witonsky. "I actually feel guilty if I don’t wind down when it sends me a reminder on my phone! It has also made me realize that if I want those solid eight hours, I need to be ready for bed about an hour early to factor in the time it takes to fall asleep and any disturbances in the middle of the night.”
Ricevuto and her mother-in-law swear by this mattress for an affordable and truly cooling place to rest your head each night. So much so that her mother-in-law owns two of them in her own home!
This mattress comes equipped with two layers of memory foam, comprised of 5" gel and comfort memory foam.
Bender has been "enamored" with this mattress since the day she bought it — over seven years ago. It has yet to falter, with Bender noting that it provides the same, comfortable sleep on night one and night 2,000.
"Its biggest selling point for me, as somebody who tends to move into different positions — from the side to my back and repeat — when I sleep, is that the top layer easily conforms to and supports whatever position I’m in anywhere on the mattress (which is surprising considering how firm it is),” she says. “It also doesn’t absorb that much body heat, which is a huge plus during the summer when my home starts to become sauna levels of hot.”
