If there’s one thing to know about me, it's that I love accessories — specifically, anything jewelry-related. I am very dedicated to my look, utilizing all my regalia to tell the world: “Here I am!”
I've come to form an attachment to my everyday jewelry, wearing it consistently enough that the gems have become dull and the metal has started to rust. But, I am not ready to let go of my confidence-building wear. Luckily, my loyalty won’t need to be tested with this ultrasonic jewelry cleaner I’ve recently discovered.

Kohe Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner
- Easy to use
- Enhances jewelry sparkle
- Can clean other small items
- Some say it is noisy
Material: Waterproof finishing on outer, stainless steel tank | Can hold: 12 oz of water | Compatible with: Eyeglasses, dentures, watch coins, makeup brushes and other small items
What is the Kohe Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner?
The Kohe Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner works by using a high frequency vibration (48,000Hz high frequency sound waves, to be exact) to generate microscopic bubbles that can break down dirt on jewelry surfaces. According to the brand, it effectively cleans dirty jewelry (excluding tarnish) in just a few minutes with just tap water alone, which is a big statement.
On the outside, the device has a few buttons to turn it on and off, plus to control how long it cleans your items. The outer is made of a waterproof finish, and has an anti-slip bottom. The interior, on the other hand, claims to be stainless steel.
The device is also portable enough to travel with, and can be used to clean other small items such as eyeglasses, dentures, watch coins, makeup brushes and more, without causing damage.

My experience with the Kohe Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner
I tried the product with a range of my own personal jewelry pieces, from items I wear on sandy beach vacations to sports competitions, and this little machine managed to get both sand and dirt alike out.
So far, the cleaner has completely transformed my worn-out well-loved accessories.
It's easy to use
The ultrasonic cleaning device has three easy steps:
1. Open the lid and fill the tank with water to the "max" line.
2. Place and submerge the deteriorated item in the basket.
3. Close the lid and plug the gadget into an outlet.
After following these steps, you just have to wait five to seven minutes for it to work its magic. It's really that simple!
For deeper cleaning, you can use the seven minute session, rather than the simple five minutes. In-between uses, the brand suggests waiting 10-minutes to help prolong the cleaner's lifespan.
It truly cleans my most worn jewelry items
For over a decade, I was a competitive baton twirler which resulted in wearing thick, studded earrings for both private tournaments and local football games.
I haven’t touched these grime-ridden studs since high school, and it's obvious why. The dark green build-up within the elaborate display was insane, but so was the ultrasonic cleaning result. The green, moss-like color disappeared with one use, turning these blasts from the past into a modern masterpiece.
Since the item was so worn, I added an additional cleaning solution. The brand offers one that you can use and purchase separately. It is also advised to add non-corrosive disinfectant if desired.
Overall, I can’t get over how shiny the base of my jewelry is by itself!

What to consider
The one thing to beware of is the type of jewelry to put with the ultrasonic cleaner. I’d recommend not tampering with older or antique pieces, given my own trial runs.
The tool is powerful enough to get in between every stone, so it’s best to act with care around pieces that may have loosened over the years. The brand does note that glasses and sunglasses with pre-existing scratches and coatings, and jewelry containing loose and/or porous stones (such as pearls, opals) shouldn't be cleaned with the device.
Also, while I can't speak on this myself, some reviewers weren't fans of the sound, and claimed the "buzz" was a bit loud. Others found it more on the quiet side.
Who is the Kohe Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner best for?
The bottom line is... if you need an easy and affordable jewelry polisher, the Kohe Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner is the way to go. It’s important to stay ahead of any pestering dirt, oil and grime. No girl wants to say goodbye to her iconic favorite sparkly picks — her wearable best friends!
