Chef notes

I love this recipe because it is super simple, delicious and only requires a couple ingredients. The spooky sprinkles, rich chocolate and juicy berries are sure to put a smile on everyone's face.

Technique tip: Work quickly when dipping in chocolate and into the sprinkles, as the chocolate will harden quickly and it needs to be sticky for the sprinkles to adhere.

Swap option: Use vanilla candy melts and orange or green food coloring.

Ingredients

  • 20 strawberries, stems attached
  • 6 ounces chocolate candy melts, melted
  • Halloween monster sprinkles

Preparation

1.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2.

Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip the fruit into the melted chocolate, lift and twist slightly, letting any excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.

3.

Quickly dip each strawberry into sprinkles (do this before chocolate has time to harden).

4.

Place on baking sheet. Refrigerate or set aside until set, about 30 minutes.
