Award-Winning Strawberry Fudge

Chef notes

I enjoy making fudges and treats for loved ones and for county fair competitions. Many of these desserts are also special to my family around the holidays. We love making memories together. This is one of my newer recipes and is based on a recipe that a family friend, Catherine Justice, shared with me. I always love swapping recipes with friends and learning to make new things.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 (0.8-ounce) packages freeze-dried strawberries, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

Line and grease an 8x8-inch pan with foil.

In a large, microwave-safe bowl, microwave chocolate chips, butter and condensed milk on medium, stirring in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth. Add strawberries and vanilla; mix well. Pour into prepared pan.

Chill until set, about 4 hours. Cut into pieces and serve.
