APPLE-BERRY-RAISIN CRUMBLE

Ingredients

  • 8 cup Granny Smith apples
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cup mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 4 tablespoon wheat germ
  • 3 cup quick-cooking oats (not instant)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375 F.

In a large bowl, toss the apples with the cornstarch.

Add the berries, raisins, 1/4 cup juice concentrate, and honey, and toss to mix.

Place the mixture in a 9” deep-dish pie pan, or use an 8” x 8” or 9” x 9” baking pan.

Combine the wheat germ, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and the remaining 3 tablespoons juice concentrate.

Mix until moist and crumbly.

Sprinkle the topping over the fruit.

Bake for 45 minutes, or until the filling is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.

Serving Directions:
