Jackpot! Ticket claims $400 million powerball

After 11 weeks of winnerless drawings, one lucky ticket snagged the $399 million powerball jackpot Thursday night, purchased at a gas station in Lexington, South Carolina. The winner has not yet come forward. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports.

>> reporter: natalie, good morning. there is a sense of jubilation and mystery here. here's what we know t. winning grand prize ticket was sold at that time murphy express behind me here, a town of about 20,000 people west of columbia, just off the interstate. now, in case you missed them. here are the number, 7, 10, 22, 32, 35 and the powerball of 19. now, what we don't know is the identity of the winner. in fact, we may not know for a while because south carolina does not require them to come forward publicly t. odds of winning were 1 in 175 million. now, if you are waking up this morning and you didn't win the jackpot, you may want to check your tickets again, because there were several other prizes, three tickets, one $2 million, in florida and pennsylvania then other tickets one $1 million. lottery officials here have scheduled a news conference for later today. what everyone wants to know is who won this thing. was it one person, a family or a group of co-workers. natalie. back to you.
