Pan-roasted scallops: Padma Lakshmi spices up the TODAY kitchen

It’s cooling down outside, which means it’s time to spice things up in the kitchen. “Top Chef” star Padma Lakshmi, whose new book is “The Encyclopedia of Spices and Herbs,” joins Matt Lauer to demonstrate how to make pan-roasted scallops with spiced butter, served with a side of rice pilaf.
