Louisiana flooding: At least 13 dead; 70,000 apply for disaster aid
Some officials fear Louisiana is facing its worst housing shortage since Hurricane Katarina made landfall in 2005. FEMA says it’s looking to set up temporary housing units as Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson travels to the state Thursday to gauge the federal response. More than 70,000 people reportedly have applied for federal disaster assistance.
