When is Amazon Prime Day 2026?
According to Amazon, Prime Day 2026 will take place in June. While we don't know specific dates just yet, watch this space for new updates.
Typically, Amazon Prime Day takes place in the peak of summer around early July, though the brand has rolled out the sales holiday in June. (The last time this happened was back in 2021.) In 2025, Amazon hosted Prime Day over a span of four days, a first for the retailer. In previous years, Prime Day was labeled as a two-day event. For 2026, it is unclear if Prime Day will revert to its original schedule or repeat from last year.
Does Amazon Prime Day happen twice a year?
Primary Prime Day occurs in the summer, but a second Prime Day-labeled sale occurs in the fall, also known as Prime Big Deals Days. Customers can expect the fall Prime Day to occur sometime in October, typically, in a similar timeframe as the main summer event.

What is Amazon Prime Day?
In the past, Amazon Prime Day has been a 48-hour savings event , which is exclusive to Prime members around the world. Historically, it had fallen over a two-day period in July, and the retailer has held an additional savings event in the fall. Last year, however, the summer sales event was over the span of four days.
During the sale, shoppers get a chance to save across categories, as well as deals on Amazon Alexa devices, Apple products , bestselling beauty, fashion and more.
How much is Prime?
As of now, a monthly Prime membership costs $14.99 a month, or $139 for an annual membership. If you opt for the year-long commitment, you’ll end up saving about $40.
Amazon also offers membership discounts for young adults and qualified government assistance. “Prime for Young Adults,” offers college students and people ages 18 to 24 a free six-month Prime trial, followed by $7.49 per month or $69 per year. And those with qualifying government assistance can sign up for Prime for just $6.99 after the free 30-day trial.
