Raffaele Sollecito: ‘I didn’t expect’ guilty verdict

Amanda Knox’s former boyfriend, who was stopped at the border by Italian authorities just hours after the pair were re-convicted for murder, on Friday said that he didn’t expect the guilty verdict and said he will “look into” the court’s reasoning.

>> i didn't expect this. the first thing that came to my mind was to wait for the reasons of this verdict. i don't want to comment about anything about that. it was completely unexpected, at least by me. but, i will look into the reasons of it.

>> sollecito and knox were convicted of murdering her roommate in 2007 while the two women were exhange students. amanda knox is also planning to appeal the verdict which came at her third trial. she remains in the us and said today she will fight to the very end. knox also said she will never go willingly back to italy where she was imprisoned for four years until her original conviction was overturned.
