>>> york. get this, a 44-year-old woman was walking in brooklyn when she heroically caught a 1-year-old boy who fell off of a fire escape and then bounced off an awning and right into her arms. the little boy suffered a cut on his face. otherwise, pretty much unharmed. now, the story proves that catching can run in the family. the hero was christina torre. that's right, joe torre 's daughter, legendary major league catcher and former yankee manager. she says she was just in the right place at the right time.
>> pretty amazing. obviously, got the catching gene. she was there and had quick reflexes.
>> amazing that this little boy was not more sear offly hurting the awning playing major role as well.
>> she apparently -- she was sitting at a nearby cafe and saw what was happening and ran over there.
>> here's her talking about it.
>> good lord put you in a position where you're there and, you know exa child's life is in the balance, in your hands, literally. it's -- it's certainly -- it feels good to me and i know did to her.
>> obviously you that was joe torre , father of the hero who made the catch.
