Jall Wake-Up Light Sunrise Alarm Clock
Not everyone is a morning person, but sunlight exposure can help you feel more awake and alert when you wake up, Dr. Angela Holliday-Bell, a physician and certified sleep specialist, previously told Shop TODAY. Sunrise alarm clocks help stimulate the effects of a sunrise to help you wake up, rather than a noisy alarm. Weiler says they gradually brighten over a set time period, and reach the maximum brightness level when you are supposed to wake up. They're not only helpful for early mornings, but for those dealing with jet lag, shift work and time changes, according to Weiler.
Crocs Classic Lined Clog
While you won’t wear Crocs to bed, the right slipper can make all the difference in your nighttime routine. These machine washable, lined Crocs were a "surprise favorite" among CR testers, Weiler says. The "extremely comfortable" clog style makes them feel stable while doing chores around the house, and the foam that they are made out of (ethylene-vinyl acetate) softens and molds to your foot over time. The thick, textured sole combined with the faux fur liner was enough to impress one CR tester.
“I am pleasantly surprised that these are extremely comfortable,” said they said. “These are excellent work shoes, and if I’m going to be prepping for a big event—think Thanksgiving or a dinner party—these are the shoes I’ll be wearing from now on.”

Rest Haven Memory Foam Pillows (Set of 2)
This inexpensive duo left CR testers impressed — the pillows earned a rating of Excellent for their ability to support side sleepers, as well as their breathability and ability to retain shape. While they might not be ideal for back sleepers, Weiler says these pillows are a CR Best Buy, meaning they provide great value for the money.
Marpac Dohm Classic White Noise Machine
Weiler says that white noise can help you not only reduce the time it takes to fall asleep, but the number of times you wake up throughout the night. Marpac has been in the white noise game for quite some time now — this model in particular dates back to 1962, Weiler says. Features include a fan-based natural white noise with options to adjust the speed, tone and volume. It can be done with the simple flip of a switch and rotation of the cap. Earplugs are another option if have trouble blocking out unwanted noise.
Molblly 12-Inch Hybrid Innerspring Mattress
It's hard to beat the convenience of shopping for a mattress online and having it shipped right to your door. If you're looking for an inexpensive option, Weiler says this model from Molblly is a "good option for the money." It earned high marks across the board for several of its features — its support for back and side sleepers helped it earn a rating of Very Good and its durability helped it to earn a rating of Excellent. Two things to note, Weiler says, is that taller people might not enjoy it as much and those who prefer a firmer mattress might find that this one is on the softer side.
Google Nest Learning Thermostat
This thermostat stood apart from the rest in the CR lab, Weiler says. It earned one of the top spots for its smart design, software interface and operation. Its ability to automate heating and cooling helped it receive an Excellent rating, and other standout features include an occupancy sensor, geofencing and voice and app control. It's compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings, according to the brand.

Novaform 10-Inch SoFresh Responsive Foam Mattress
This mattress has a triple layer design to help relieve pressure points and provide a comfortable night's sleep for both back and side sleepers. L.L. Bean 280-Thread-Count Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set
Mattresses and sheets are a combination that go hand-in-hand. Weiler says that out of the sheets that CR tests, almost half of them shrink so much over time that they no longer fit the mattress. If you want a bottom sheet that won't be halfway off of the bed by the time you wake up, CR testers suggest investing in this set from L.L. Bean. Even after a year of washing, they found that these sheets will still fit a 14-inch mattress. And, since they'll last longer, you won't have to replace them frequently.
ChiliSleep Cube Sleep System
If you prefer a cool sleeping environment, this cube sleep system is a game changer. The pad, which is designed to go under your fitted sheet, uses silicone micro-tubes to circulate water to maintain your preferred temperature. The National Sleep Foundation recommends keeping your bedroom temperature between 60 and 67 degrees Fahrenheit to promote sleep, however it varies by person. The heat settings on this machine range from from 55 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit.
Luna Cotton Weighted Blanket
What is comforting than the feeling of a warm hug? That is what this heated blanket feels like. The quilted design resembles a comforter, however each square is filled with glass or plastic beads to provide more weight, which can help ease anxiety and insomnia, the brand shares. Plus it is machine washable.

This pillow offers personalized support with three removable layers to create your ideal pillow. For more support, keep all three inserts inside the pillow, or remove two layers for the thinnest option. The pillow is also hypoallergenic for allergy-sensitive sleepers, the brand says.

A good humidifier can help with a slew of problems, from preventing or relieving dry skin to helping shrink nasal passage swelling when you have a cold, experts have told Shop TODAY. Humidifiers can also help cut down on airborne virus transmission. This option also has an essential oil feature so you can add your favorite oils for aromatherapy.

AeroBed Classic Air Mattress
With an oval coil construction, this air mattress offers extra support for a more comfortable rest. The mattress inflates in just two minutes with the included pump and does a good job of maintaining its shape, Weiler said. The mattress can also be deflated quickly and sorted compactly in the included carry bag.
Google Nest Audio Smart Speaker
This speaker can stream music as you fall asleep and turn into an alarm clock by morning. Plus, once you're up and running, you can also use it to take calls and check the weather.
