There's a reason over two million visitors stop by "Top of the Rock" at Rockefeller Center every year. The iconic tourist attraction gives guests some of the best views of the city, from New Jersey to Queens to the Financial District in New York — and now they're taking the experience to even greater heights. To give viewers a tour of the building's Skylift, TODAY's Dylan Dreyer traveled 73 stories up for a truly elevated excursion.
Spinning 800 feet in the air for 360-degree panoramic views is what Dreyer can only describe as breathtaking. But that's not the only sky-high excursion that Top of the Rock has to offer! For other thrill seekers out there, there's also The Beam, which rotates 180 degrees for another spectacular look at the skyline and Central Park. Visiting soon and want to see the city's landmarks from above? Learn more about the different experiences and how to get tickets below!
General admission tickets start at just $42 for access to three floors of 360 degree views — with the option to add on the Skylift or The Beam experiences. All guests will enjoy sightseeing from both indoor and outdoor viewing terraces, plus the option to dine at The Weather Room Café & Bar. Express and VIP passes are also available, which include perks like skipping the line, 20% off at the Top of the Rock Store and more.
