Let me back up a minute. I am a sucker for a T-shirt dress. I’ve been wearing them on and off since high school. I love how I can toss one on, pair it with sandals or sneakers, and I’m out the door in seconds. And I look put together. When I had the opportunity to road-test the Molerani T-shirt dress, I said yes.
Why I like this dress

There are a few things that make this dress stand out. One of the reasons it’s so popular is the design. The T-shirt dress is a modified A-line. It has a slight swing, so the dress moves with you, and the hem beguilingly flutters when you walk. The fabric is another reason this dress is so "hawt," as the cool kids say. It’s made from a rayon and spandex blend but feels like a luxurious modal or Tencel. The third reason it’s so great is because Molerani has many color and print options available to choose from — everything from classic black to trendy Barbie pink. What to consider
Whenever I order anything from Amazon, I obsessively read all the reviews. More than one reviewer noted that the dress arrived wrinkly. When I opened my package, I realized why they wrote that. Molerani sends their dress in a shrink-wrapped square package. I quickly ironed out the wrinkles before I wore it the first time. When I packed and unpacked it a few days later, the dress had a few wrinkles from being placed in the bottom of my travel duffel. However, I shook them out quickly and popped the dress on.
The other issue is that the fabric is slightly clingy. It may not be noticeable in darker colors or prints, but in a pastel shade it was more apparent. To combat that, I wore slip shorts under the dress, which immediately fixed the issue.
How I styled the dress
When running errands, I wore the dress with a vintage necklace, canvas tote bag, and dad sandals. When I needed to dress it up, I tossed on a blazer and added a vintage scarf, belt, and slingback flats. For travel (and I hate freezing in trains and planes), I threw on a sweatshirt, belted it, and added walking shoes.
A simple way to change the dress’ style is to belt it. A narrow belt and a pair of kitten heels elevate your fit. Try the dress with a wide belt and chunky loafers or a wedge heel for a more contemporary look. One day, I wore it with a cropped vest and sneakers. Another day, I tried it with leggings, belted the dress, made it look like a tunic, and wore it with flats.
I envision wearing the dress in the fall with a cardigan and flats. When it’s freezing out, I can wear a thick cable knit turtleneck sweater and brown boots.
