I am a jeans girl through and through. Sure, I own other types of pants and plenty of skirts, but jeans are my go-to — the biggest staple in my wardrobe. I’ve always struggled to find jean shorts that don’t look dorky on me. And I realize “dorky” is subjective — one woman’s dorky is another woman’s dashing — but I know I can’t be alone in feeling like it’s really hard to strike the right balance between inseam, cuff, color, overall fit and style-ability. And never in a million years did I think my ideal pair wouldn’t even have a zipper fly.

(And it’s extra-soupy in South Florida this time of year, which makes these quite a find.)
They’re surprisingly chic
I admit, one of the biggest reasons I resisted jorts is because I struggled to picture ways to make them look, for lack of a better word, cool. And when I saw these were a pull-on style, I knew they’d have the comfort aspect nailed — but stylishness? Surprisingly, yes.
I’m blown away by how cute these look with a variety of types of tops, whether it’s a casual, cropped tee, an oversized button-down, or a slim tank. I truly never thought that this kind of waistband could lend itself to a partially or fully tucked-in look, but I am beyond pleasantly surprised. And thanks to the stitched cuff, you never have to worry about them rolling down undetected.
What to consider
Some customers find that the shorts run small and recommend sizing up. That said, myself (and a handful of other Amazon reviewers) found them to be true to size. They also come in plus size versions, which is an added perk, too.
