Vionic Walk Max Lace Up Sneaker

This once splurge-worthy pair is now on sale — and we've never hit "add to cart" faster. A flexible insole paired with a bounce in each step made social media editorial assistant Annie Shigo call these "the perfect walking shoe."

Saucony Shadow 5000 Sneaker

Described as "cute, so fashionable and functional" by photo editor Kara Birnbaum, these shoes proved to keep her feet comfortable after an hours-long photo shoot.

"I have a bad back and am often on my feet all day for shoots and these shoes keep me feeling the best out of any other pair I’ve worn!" she says.

Brooks Women's Ghost 16 Running Shoe

It's no secret that Brooks is a preferred running shoe on the Shop TODAY team — especially after earning the award for best overall running shoe during our 2025 Sneaker Awards.

"If you have a neutral stride and are looking for standard cushioning support, the Brooks Ghost shoe should be at the top of your list to take out on a test run or walk," says senior social media editor Kate McCarthy.

Nike Women's V2K Run Shoe

These versatile, everyday sneakers can be worn virtually anywhere, while doing any activity like walking the dog or running short distances.

“They feel like gel on my feet, which I love,” says editorial operations manager Jill Ortiz. “I can feel the cushion, but it isn’t overbearing. They’re more cushy than they are supportive, so if you’re looking for arch support, I can’t promise they will provide that. They can sometimes feel tight where the tongue is, but if you shift it around a little, you can rid yourself of the feeling.”

Brooks Ghost Max 2

"I finally get the hype of Brooks sneakers," admits associate editor,Shannon Garlin. "I normally have a hard time with some walking shoes because after long periods of time, my arches start aching. I’ve worn these all over Manhattan, walking to Central Park, during workouts, etc. They’re so comfortable, provide great cushion/shock absorption, and even though they lace up, I found them easy to slip on and off."

Crocs Classic Clog

"I was very, very anti-Crocs until someone gifted me a pair a few years ago as a joke," says associate editor, Kamari Stewart. "I now absolutely love them. I throw them on for everything from running errands to wearing after a run/the gym. They’re much more comfy than I ever wanted to admit and are super easy to slip on and off. I also have a fleece-lined pair that are super warm but I would definitely recommend sizing up for those."

Dr. Scholl's Islander Sandal

"What I like about these is the cushioned footbed; they seem perfect for summer vacations where you're walking a lot," says social video producer Anita Chomenko.

They feature an ankle strap for extra stability, as well as a toe strap and an X-like strap across the middle to hold the foot in place.

Skechers Performance Go Walk Joy Slip-On

"When it comes to walking, these are 100% A+," praises former editor Amanda Fama. "They’re easy to slip on if you’re in a rush, and they’re equally flexible and breathable. I walked through Port Authority in these while trying to catch a bus, and they provided enough traction and sturdiness to get me to the gate without any aches or pains."

Steve Madden Big Mona Sandal

The above Beige Raffia shade is currently marked down by 35% and Stewart notes that "these have become my go-to sandals this summer." After seeing them at a preview earlier this year, she fell in love immediately.

"Not only are they cute and go with everything, they’re also extremely comfortable. I wear them all the time and get compliments on them, too! I really like that it has adjustable straps at the top of the foot and at the ankle which is helpful for people with wider feet."

New Balance 608 V5 Cross Trainer

"It’s rare for me to find a sneaker that I don’t have to break in, but these kicks delivered supportive strides almost immediately," says senior editor Jess Bender. "While I can rave about their arch support for ages, the wider toe box and deep heel cup minimizes any discomfort I might feel after hours on my feet. While they’re seen better days after a year plus of wearing them, they remain nearly as comfortable as they were the first time I put them on."

These sneakers, available for 25% off using the code PRIMEDEAL, are also available in women's sizing.

Dr. Scholl's Time Off Sneaker

"These were all over TikTok last year and for good reason," says Stewart. "I have amassed quite an army of white sneakers and these have made their way to the top recently. They have a bit more of an elevated look so I opt for these when I want something a little dressier than my Allbirds athletic-style sneakers. Plus, I love that they have a little platform to them. They’re comfortable enough to wear all day. I don’t remember needing to break these in either, which is a win."

K-Swiss Express Light Pickleball Sneaker

"While these are advertised as pickleball shoes, I have utilized them outside the court for my longer walks and they’ve been comfortable every time," admits editor Vivien Moon. "To me, if a shoe is good for a cardio exercise, it should be good for all forms of cardio and these do the trick. They are comfortable for long walks and have never given me a blister or needed to be broken in."

Brooks Launch 10 Running Shoes

I've personally worn Brooks throughout college and post-grad when running (after a short stint of trying out Hokas, only to return to Brooks!) and this pair is really lightweight, yet provides an ample amount of cushioning needed to not feel any strain in your knees while running. Plus, I'm always wary of running shoes that have platforms of cushion, because I feel like I'm going to sprain my ankle anytime I step. With these, they still have a layer of cushion without the added height, meaning I'm still low to the ground and that fear of injuring myself is gone.

Steve Madden Women's Graya Buckled Pointed-Toe Flats

"I just got mine in the mail and actually gasped when I saw them IRL," says production coordinator Camryn Privette. "They have a cushy sole and reviewers said that they’re surprisingly very comfy."
