Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones just hosted their first Girls Getaway — and we’re sharing an inside look at all the standout moments.
Held Oct. 21 and 22 at the scenic Cedar Lakes Estate in Port Jervis, NY, the event brought over 200 attendees together to celebrate friendship, connection and the women who make life better. Guests traveled from near and far, gathering in the Hudson Valley to listen to inspiring conversations with TODAY talent and celebrity guests (including Courteney Cox) and enjoy immersive wellness activities before heading home with swag bags worth over $900 for general admission (and over $1,700 for VIP).
The two-day event kicked off with Jenna and Sheinelle’s fireside chat, where fans enjoyed an intimate, joyful and personal conversation followed by photo moments. VIP attendees continued the evening with dinner, sips and s’mores before everyone headed back to their accommodations, either off site or at the charming Cedar Lakes Estate cottages.
After a VIP yoga session the next morning, it was time for breakfast and opening remarks. Jenna called out where everyone traveled from, spanning Seattle, Arizona, Maryland, Utah, Canada and more. While some guests brought their best friends, sisters or mothers, many arrived solo and had already made new connections, as shown by a raise of hands.
“This is what heaven looks like,” said Sheinelle. “All ages, colors, all areas of the country.”
And with that, the Brand Bazaar officially opened with a variety of on-site activations from our sponsors. Inside the Glasshouse, Gold Bond treated guests to manicures, John Frieda set up a blowout station, Dr. Groot gave massages and Laura Geller had a makeover station to round out the beauty booths. For those seeking out some fashion expertise, Altra and Fleet Feet teamed up to give personalized sneaker fittings, Shapermint had guests measured for a new bra and Zenni provided everyone with sunglasses that matched their aura.
There were also home and travel experiences on the floor, including candle engraving with Homecourt, a dreamy photo moment with mattress brand Leesa and vacation inspiration from Mexican Caribbean. And for a refreshing break from all the shopping and primping, True Citrus set up a beverage station for guests to sample a few drink mixes.
Next up, guests made their way to a mid-morning activity — either a sound bath sponsored by Mexican Caribbean in the barn or dried floral bookmark making in the pavilion. Other relaxing breaks sprinkled throughout the event included a guided walk around the property to enjoy the crisp fall day and Polaroid picture frame decorating to capture memories during the getaway.
After lunch the panels began, starting with a catch-up with actress, director and founder of Homecourt Courteney Cox, moderated by Jenna and Sheinelle. Cox, who spoke at our first Shop TODAY Stages event in 2025, sat down to talk about sisterhood, empowering others, what it means to be a mother and more. When asked about the advice she would give to members of the audience to make sure that they prioritize themselves, Cox landed on one word: Laughter.
“Figure out what makes you laugh, do more of that,” she said.
There was no shortage of laughter during the second panel with founders Laura Geller and Cynthia Rowley, moderated by beauty expert Julee Wilson. They spoke about their careers and the lessons they’ve learned, trading some hilarious stories about what happened along the way. The conversation concluded with rapid-fire questions, including their favorite getaway destinations. One thing all of the panelists agreed on? The best destinations are always wherever your friends are.
The getaway wrapped up with a festive cocktail hour, gorgeous grazing tables and tasty passed appetizers. Cedar Lakes Estate is known for its beverage program and offered two signature drinks on tap to close out the event: Jenna’s Midnight Margarita and The Sheinelle Spritz.
