It's officially Labor Day, which (sadly) signifies that the final days of summer are near. While it seems that the season has quickly come and gone, the holiday also marks the kickoff for deals around fall fashion, home essentials and more to revamp your routine.
To help you find the best deals (because there are a lot!), Shop TODAY contributor Chassie Post recently popped by TODAY to share the top sales going on during the long weekend. So far, we're seeing up to half off skin care (including savings on a cult-favorite, wrinkle-reducing product), nearly 80% off fall fashion, and steals on home and kitchen essentials.
Consider this your practice round before the actual holidays hit — and you know what they say ... practice makes perfect! So, get shopping before these deals disappear, which many will after today.

Get your skin ready for fall. For you, if that means working on reducing under-eye bags, minimizing the look of wrinkles or treating those crow’s feet caused by all that sunny-day squinting, you need to look into this mega-viral temporary eye tightener. From cult-favorite brand Peter Thomas Roth, this product (which is often sold out) is powered by skin-tightening silicates, seaweed extract and peptides that work to smooth the area and provide long-term anti-aging results. According to Post, it’s also so easy to use, and a little drop goes a long way.
Normally, just under $40, you can grab a tube (and anything else sitewide!) for 30% off during the brand’s Labor Day sale (make sure to use the code LBDAY30 at checkout!), which is going on now through Sept. 1.
Sweater weather time has arrived! Ann Taylor is celebrating the fashion moment with a Labor Day sale you don’t want to miss — 30% off your purchase, and an extra 70% off all sale styles.
That includes half off this button-neck style, which is finished with a soft, cozy and textured ribbed fabric. “It’s got an easy, loose silhouette that flatters every figure,” says Post. “Such an elevated take on a classic sweater — and so easy to dress up or down with jeans, skirts, trousers and more.”
You'll want to check out BaubleBar’s Labor Day sale, which is giving shoppers an extra 50% off all sale items. It’s like a sale within a sale! There’s a ton of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and more jewelry to check out, but we selected a few of our favorites.
An initial necklace will truly never go out of style. We love BaubleBar’s take on the timeless design, with each letter surrounded by a heptagon frame that features spotted brilliant glass stones. Dainty, delicate and downright stunning.
Inspired by actual spa treatments, these at-home resurfacing peel pads promise to have you looking at brighter skin in the mirror by morning. Each pad features 10% glycolic acid, which gently targets fine lines, discoloration and other imperfections to reveal a smoother and more radiant complexion underneath. The brand says they’re so reliable that users will notice improved texture after just one use. Bliss’ special Labor Day deal gets you a pack of 15 for under $15, as well as up to 50% off sitewide, through September 3. Plus, you can score an extra 10% with code EX10!
We think this is a great option for an upcoming birthday or celebrating a loved one for a special occasion. This elegant necklace is designed with an 18K gold-plated chain and the birthstone of your choice.
And since fall is all about getting cozy, Tommy John is giving us a sweet deal — 30% off sitewide — on everything from underwear and sleepwear to loungewear! Post raves that these knit joggers are “impossibly soft and sooo comfy!” They’re designed with a lightweight, wrinkle-free fabric that is also supposed to provide a ton of stretch. Finished with a tagless elastic waist and pockets, they’re just the pants you need for long travel days or hours spent on the couch. Make sure to use code SIZZLE30 to score 30% off sitewide!
Consider these French terry joggers an elevated take on the casual staple. In addition to having a smooth and soft feel inside and out, the pant is also designed with stretch and recovery in mind. According to the brand, the fabric is breathable and able to keep its shape, making them ideal for workouts, lounging or just running around town. You can also score 30% off with code SIZZLE30 through September 2.
Chunky rings have held a top spot on 2025’s most popular trends so far, and we don’t see the style going anywhere next season. Consider adding this sea shell-inspired piece to your stack, with its glamorous gold and pavé detailing. While it certainly has an oversized quality to it, the brand promises a lightweight and comfortable feel.
This sleek cutting board is the kitchen tool the brand says you won’t want to put away. Its premium black walnut design is enough to elevate any kitchen space, but it's also a high-functioning material for anyone who holds cooking over aesthetic. According to Our Place, this wood won’t dull your blades and features juice trenches to capture liquids and avoid unnecessary mess. And when you flip it over, it doubles as a serving board!
During the brand’s Labor Day sale, you can score up to 44% off all home and kitchen essentials sitewide.

Frequently asked questions
Labor Day commemorates the first day of September, honoring the contributions of American workers, per the U.S. Department of Labor. Its roots are in the 19th century, after there were major pushes from labor activists to pass the federal holiday.
As previously reported, Labor Day traditionally falls on the very first day of September. This was seen as a good in-between date from the Fourth of July to Thanksgiving. The first Labor Day celebrations were also held at the beginning of September, based on research from Britannica, which contributed to the day we currently honor the holiday on.
We previously spoke with DealNews.com Consumer Analyst Julie Ramhold, who told us that you can often expect retailers and brands to begin their Labor Day sales as early as two weeks ahead of the holiday. “As for those closer to the holiday itself, they’ll likely start no later than the Friday of the holiday weekend, though some will start a couple of days earlier,” she said.
So what deals can you expect to see during Labor Day sales? Mattresses, home goods, electronics and similar categories often have major savings for the federal holiday.
