Ingredients

  • 4 apples (honey crisp, granny smith -- mix it up, whatever you prefer)
  • 1 jar caramel sauce
  • 1 jar chocolate sauce
  • 1 package thin bamboo skewers or lollipop sticks
  • Leftover Halloween candy (couple bars of Snickers Mars, Twix, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, M&Ms and whatever else is left!)

Preparation

Keeping the flavors/brands separate from each other, crush (in a Ziplock bag) or cut/dice up your candy bars (M&Ms can keep form or get crushed further) into little pieces and crumbs.  Separate each brand into different bowls, or different sections of a compartmentalized container like a muffin tin, to create your dipping/topping station.

Wash and cut apples into wedges. (*Tip! Squeeze a lemon or any citrus fruit) over cut apples to prevent oxidation and browning.) Skewer each apple wedge, set aside.

Warm chocolate and caramel sauce in the microwave or stove top, stirring occasionally.

Dip 75%-100% of skewered apple in your sauce of choice for a nice coat (looks nice when some apple skin still shows, especially if using different kinds/colors), then dipping into the candy crumbs of your choice!  Set aside to cool, or eat right away!
