Just weeks after losing his mother, Carson Daly is now mourning the loss of his stepfather as well.

But his wife Siri says that despite enduring incredible heartbreak, she's watched Carson be a rock for his family during the incredibly difficult time. She wrote a touching message on Instagram about the strength of the TODAY host one day after he announced the death of stepfather Richard Caruso following a battle with bone cancer.

"As I try to navigate through all of this loss and heartbreak, I am constantly in awe of my husband’s strength,'' she wrote. "His faith and his sweet, unconditional love for his family never falter, even amid his overwhelming grief. His dad raised him to be strong like this. His dad taught us all so much. Pops, rest peacefully. Watch over us, and give Kiki a big hug from the kiddos."

Carson, 44, wrote his own tribute to Richard, whom he called "Dad," in announcing his death just hours after he passed away on Tuesday.

"The greatest man we ever knew,'' he wrote. "Our hero. He exemplified great faith, loyalty to family & hard work."

Caruso's death came just over a month after Carson lost his beloved mother, Pattie Daly Caruso, a longtime California TV personality, at 73 years old.

Pattie married Richard after Carson's father, Jim Daly, died of bladder cancer in 1979 when Carson was a young boy. Richard became a loving stepfather to Carson and his sister, Quinn.

Carson, who is a father of three children himself, has now lost two people he often cited as an inspiration with their vibrant personalities and diligent work ethics.

He previously opened up about his mother’s influence on him in 2013 for TODAY’s #InspiredBy series, where he also spoke about his gratitude for Richard coming into their lives.

"I always say that God blessed me with two incredible dads," he said.

Siri also wrote a heartfelt post on Instagram in the wake of Pattie's death, calling her "a vibrant force in my life."

Our thoughts and prayers are with Carson and his family during this difficult time.
