KFC is bringing back a fan-favorite menu item — this time, in 3 flavors

The chain is debuting an all-new dessert, too.

KFC is back in the wrap game after a brief hiatus.

On Oct. 23, KFC announced it’s bringing back a fan-favorite menu item on Nov. 12: Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps. The returning menu item was introduced for a limited time earlier this year and is now being offered nationwide at the cost of two wraps for $5. And this time, the two returning wraps are bringing a new flavor with them.

KFC says its wraps were a hit with customers when they were rolled out at KFC restaurants across the country in February after first being tested in Atlanta, Georgia in 2022.

The menu item, which was first called “Twister Wraps” and discontinued in 2014, has been a popular topic of discussion on social media consistently since that time.

In fact, fans have been begging for the item’s return for years, with one fan recently tweeting at KFC to “stop the madness” and bring back the wraps.

Luckily for those fans, the wraps are back, with a new lineup that includes:

  • The Mac & Cheese Wrap: This brand-new wrap features an Extra Crispy fried chicken tender topped with KFC’s cheddar mac and cheese and is sprinkled with the chain’s three-cheese blend in a tortilla.
  • The Spicy Slaw Chicken Wrap: This wrap takes an Extra Crispy tender and tops it with a mix of KFC coleslaw, spicy sauce and pickles in a tortilla.
  • The Classic Chicken Wrap: This wrap takes an extra crispy tender and pairs it with pickles and creamy mayo in a tortilla.

“Since we introduced KFC Wraps earlier this year, others have followed with their versions — but why go to a burger chain for a fried chicken wrap, when you can get a craveable wrap with KFC’s world-famous fried chicken?” said Nick Chavez, KFC U.S.’s CMO, in a press release directly aimed at its competitors.

KFC is also introducing a family-sized dessert item to its menu on Nov. 12: the Colonel’s Homestyle Brownies. At $6.99 a la carte, this all-new item is big enough to share with the family, or to really enjoy by yourself — we won’t judge. Customers can save a couple of bucks on the new brownie by adding the item to KFC’s $20 Fill Up Box or any bucket meal for $5.

KFC Wraps and Colonel’s Homestyle Brownie are available starting Nov. 12 via KFC’s mobile app, on KFC’s website or in-store at KFC restaurants for $5. A KFC Wraps combo will also be available for $8.49, which features your choice of two wraps (available in classic, spicy or mac & cheese), a medium drink and a serving of Secret Recipe Fries.

The fast-food world has been embroiled in a wrap battle for some time now. In June, Dunkin’ announced an expansion of its food menu by adding Dunkin’ Wraps, which are available in two flavors: Chicken & Roasted Pepper Wrap and Chorizo & Egg Wrap. Meanwhile, this past August, Burger King entered the wrap game with its BK Royal Crispy Wraps in Classic, Spicy and Honey Mustard, for a limited time.

And in the most obvious reaction to fans’ dismay over McDonald’s discontinuation of its Snack Wraps, in April, Wendy’s introduced a Grilled Chicken Ranch Wrap, which aimed to fill the Snack Wrap-shaped hole in the fast-food marketplace.
