NFL goes pink for breast cancer

Oct. 2: TODAY's Al Roker talks to Tanya Snyder, the wife of Redskins owner Dan Snyder, about what the NFL is doing to promote breast cancer awareness.

>> it has, and of course, as we know, october is breast cancer awareness month. this sunday the nfl kicks off its own campaign with its fans, even players wearing pink. well, tanya snyder is the nfl spokesperson for the cause, also happens to be the wife of redskins owner dan snyder . tanya , good to see you.

>> thank you so much. thank you for having me today.

>> so, tell us about this effort.

>> well, i'm just very happy to be here on behalf of the nfl representing the campaign for breast cancer awareness.

>> and there are some changes going on. tell us about those, with all the pink and stuff.

>> well, the pink is just to let you know through the nfl that there's no boundaries, and with our players and everyone within the nfl , just to show the support for the cause.

>> and in fact, in some of the stadiums, even the goal posts are going to be pink?

>> oh, absolutely. you'll see a sea of pink everywhere.

>> and this is a very personal cause for you guys.

>> yes, it has. it really has no boundaries. from players to owners to coaches, i think everybody's lives have been touched by this.
