As America remembers the thousands killed and injured in coordinated terrorist attacks that downed four passenger jets 10 years ago this weekend, federal officials are scrambling to investigate what has been termed a “credible but unconfirmed” report out of Pakistan that three men were sent by al Qaida to detonate car bombs here.
