Teen chooses amputation over pain


Faced with a choice of living her life in pain or having her leg amputated, 13-year-old Alyssia Crook chose the latter – but insisted that the surgery be put off until her team’s basketball season was over. TODAY’s Lester Holt  checks in with Alyssia, who had the surgery and has now set her signs on becoming a competitive swimmer.
