Overnight, President Obama kicked off a historic visit to Laos, becoming the first U.S. president to visit that country. But Obama cancelled a meeting with Rodrigo Duterte, president of the Philippines, after Duterte issued a vulgar insult. NBC’s Ron Allen, traveling with the president, reports for TODAY.
