According to her, they have a “quiet luxury” vibe — an elevated basic that works with everything from jeans and shorts to skirts and linen pants. The fabric is cotton-rich, making it breathable for warm summer days, while added spandex lends a sculpting effect that smooths without feeling tight. Plus, the additional coverage will conceal your bra straps.
As a stylist, Garcia says she always tells women they need a pair of linen pants for summer. This A New Day pair is great because they have a relaxed fit but still looked tailored, thanks to the matching belt that accentuates your waist. They’re super versatile, too: you can wear them casually with a tank and sandals or dress them up with a button down and heels. And don’t worry if your linen wrinkles; it’s supposed to! That’s what gives it that effortless summer character.
Fringe is one of the biggest trends we’re seeing this summer and according to Garcia, this dress looks similar to options by designer brands at a much higher price point. While it’s an open knit, it’s fully lined and very forgiving so you don’t have to worry about feeling exposed. Plus, the midi length is flattering, pairs easily with flats and heels, and is easy to wear for women of all ages. Garcia notes that it’s suitable for a variety of occasions, from dining out to parties and even summer weddings.
SPF lip balms are one of the biggest beauty conversations right now and this one gives you hydration, shine and SPF, while feeling like a great lipgloss rather than a traditional sunscreen product. According to the brand, it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy. And Garcia notes that it’s perfect for beach days (or any time you’re outside this summer). She recommends getting multiple to keep in your handbag, car and beyond.
This personal drink cooler from Sun Squad is a savvy, space-saving option for days when all you need is a few cans — and it’s only $5! With a zip closure and water-resistant interior lining, you don’t have to stress about leaks. And the material is lightweight, making it especially easy to carry on adventures big and small. Garcia notes that it can be used for work and picnic lunches, too.
