Well, it's the end of an era.
We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but Saks Global has announced that they will be closing the majority of Saks Off 5th physical stores as well as their e-commerce initiatives amid bankruptcy news. It is reported that 57 physical stores will be closing, leaving just 12 left open. Most closings will start on Jan. 31, going through Feb. 2. In addition, Saks Global also announced that the clearance outlet for Neiman Marcus, Last Call, will also be closing.
When it comes to returns and existing gift cards, there's some good news. According to Saks Global, returns and exchanges "purchased before the closing sales will be accepted in accordance with the company’s usual policies." Any product purchased beginning Saturday, Jan. 31, will be final sale. When it comes to gift cards, while new ones are no longer for sale, if you have an existing one, it will be accepted through Saturday, Feb. 14.
For loyal members of the Saks Off 5th and Last Call membership programs, new purchases will no longer qualify for rewards, but "existing rewards can be redeemed until Sunday, March 1" per Saks Global.
