When I bought white furniture, I knew the risk. But I loved the idea of an airy and light living space. For the most part, I kept it clean with a minor crumb drop every now then that I could easily get up.
Then one stressful morning, disaster struck. I knocked over my very full cup of coffee and spilled it all over my very white ottoman. After a moment of panic, I ran to my cleaning supplies and pulled out the OxiClean Max Force stain remover.

Why I like OxiClean Max Force Stain Remover
Normally, I use this stain remover to pretreat clothing before I do laundry or for small spot cleans on my rug or couch, and it's always taken out those stains pretty thoroughly. When the coffee catastrophe happened, I thought my ottoman was a goner, but I was shocked at the results on this massive and aggressive spill.

How I used OxiClean MaxForce Stain Remover
What's even more shocking? I just used two products: the OxiClean and some paper towels. First, I grabbed a bunch of paper towels and soaked up as much coffee as I could before I sprayed the stain remover. According to the brand, it says to spray a generous amount and let it stand for five minutes to seven days. Since I have a cat, I couldn't leave out cleaning products for that amount of time, so I just let it sit for five-ish minutes, then soaked and wiped it up with more paper towels.
The stain disappeared before my eyes
I did not have to break a sweat to get this stain to disappear, the coffee vanished after less than a minute of wiping. I think I audibly gasped at how quickly and adequately this stain remover worked — I had a white ottoman again!

What to consider
I've had this product for a couple of years and use it pretty consistently for laundry days, and now I know I can tackle literally any stain in my apartment. However, the brand notes you'll want to avoid using it on certain fabrics such as silk, wool and leather.
