Most people may see Leighton Meester and think of Blair, her character in the early 2000s hit show, "Gossip Girl," but now she's stepped into a new role — and it's perhaps her most delicious one yet.

For Godiva’s latest campaign, she is embodying Lady Godiva (she's the first person to portray the iconic figure for the brand), a role that she tells us comes with a pretty big perk.

"Obviously, I do admire them and enjoy their products, and I can speak very candidly about loving them," she says about teaming up with the brand. "I’ve really loved working with them — and I get to eat a lot of chocolate."

She, as Lady Godiva, is the star of the brand's latest campaign video for its Masterpiece collection. It's a take on the classic heist, but instead of stealing the "masterpiece," she's putting it back in its rightful place, in a museum.

"I really loved the concept about Lady Godiva and reimagining her and the legend around her and the heist — or the opposite of a heist — where I replace the chocolate, I think it was really clever. And even though it’s an incredibly luxurious and decadent brand and product, it’s also kind of cheeky and a little tongue-in-cheek, which I was really into."

But the new campaign isn't the only thing you can catch her in right now. She also popped up in a recent episode of the Netflix series, “Nobody Wants This,” which stars her husband, Adam Brody. Her guest-starring role was the sixth time that the couple had worked together.

"It feels really natural to work together, and very comfortable and safe and relaxed. I feel pretty at ease with him, and to be able to work together, even if it’s a difficult scene or something that’s more challenging or so far from reality, it still can be fun somehow," she says. "And there’s just a real shorthand. But I also just admire him so much and respect him so much that I’m always really in awe working with him. And I’m a huge fan of [Nobody Wants This], I'm a huge fan of his work on it, but I can say that almost about everything that he’s done."

As for her dream project to collaborate with him on, she says, "I really want to [work together] again, I love what we got to do. He did an episode of the show that I was doing, and then I did this. I feel like it would be fun to do kind of like a 'His Girl Friday,' although, then again, that was very heavily scripted. But that kind of banter would be really fun to do together. We had so much fun on [Adam's] show, which is extremely loose."

Below, we chatted with Meester about some of her current must-haves, from her go-to gift to the snack she always keeps stocked at home.

Shopping Diaries: Leighton Meester

Her go-to crowd-pleasing gift:

Godiva Masterpiece Milk Chocolate Bag

While she says having to choose her favorite flavor from the new Masterpiece collection is "really not fair," she adds, "I think deep down, I think I’m just a milk chocolate girl."

She adds that chocolate is one of her go-to gifts for the holidays. "If you can know ahead of time what kind of chocolate person they are, then you can get them that specific flavor. Or you can do like a box of the gold collection Godiva if you feel like it. And then you can sort of pick and choose. There’s nothing more fun than looking at a box of chocolates and figuring out what's what, and then people call dibs on what they want."

The skin care products she'll never skip:

EltaMD UV Restore Face Sunscreen

Shani Darden Moisture Boost Plumping Serum

Even when she's in a rush to leave the house, Meester says that "two things I can never skip are my serums and applying SPF."

She previously shared in an interview with Vogue that these two products are staples in her routine. The EltaMD Sunscreen features squalane and ginger root extract, along with zinc oxide, to help boost moisture and minimize the look of dark spots and wrinkles, while also helping to protect your skin from the sun.

The serum, on the other hand, is perfect for the season, as the brand says it offers long-lasting plumping hydration to leave your skin soft and bouncy.

The last product she discovered on social media:

Wonderskin Wonder Blading Lip Stain Masque

"It was sort of by way of social media, but a makeup artist used something called Wonderskin on me, which was a lipstick."

This lip stain has gone mega-viral on social media, and while the color may be shocking at first, it peels off to reveal a matte, natural-looking color.

The snack she always keeps stocked at home:

Lesser Evil Organic Intergalactic Onion Moonions

Meester says she always keeps this fun twist on a classic snack stocked in her kitchen cabinets. According to the brand, they're air-puffed, so they're extra crispy.
