The time we've been waiting for all year is finally here: Cyber Monday is underway! It's the last day of a weekend filled with great deals in every category from beauty and fashion to tech and toys.
It's also a great time to upgrade (or replace) your sneaker collection! At Shop TODAY, we know what it takes to find a good pair of sneakers and when you find a pair you love, you stick with them. Luckily, we've found so many good sneakers while testing for our Sneaker Awards earlier this year. And a lot of them are on sale for Cyber Monday! Cyber Monday award-winning shoe deals
These slip-on sneakers have a sock-like upper and mesh fabric that makes them breathable. Shop TODAY writer Katie Jackson says that, while these shoes have a bit of height, it “isn’t high enough to feel like I’m going to twist my ankle.”
Abe Witonsky, father of associate partnerships editor Lauren Witonsky, wore these to play pickleball regularly over the course of about a month, and says he opted for these over dedicated pickleball shoes because they were more comfortable! After five months of consistent use, he notes that there's little wear and tear and was already planning to repurchase them once he retires his current pair. (Now that they're on sale, it's a great time to do that!)
These shoes were recommended by Dr. Michael Cunha, a board-certified foot surgeon and the founder of Gotham Footcare based in Manhattan, New York. He calls them "one of the most comfortable shoes on the market."
Associate editor Shannon Garlin says these sneakers require "little-to-no breaking in." They'll be ideal for those long days spent on your feet like when you're going to theme parks, walking the dog or just hitting your daily step count.
The brand advises sizing up as this particular style of shoe runs small.
Two features to look for when shopping for a quality sneaker are a wide toe box and cushioned insoles, according to Cunha. This pair was previously recommended by a different podiatrist for its customizable fit.
These slip-on sneakers are comfortable enough to wear on your commute but professional enough to wear around the office. They have cushioned insoles and the outsoles are made out of recycled plastic and built to withstand anything.
Commerce writer Danielle Murphy is a big fan of Kizik shoes: “I love the fit, feel and color options ... If you want a stylish shoe that also feels good, this is worth the price."
Commerce editor and producer Julie Ricevuto says these sneakers have become her everyday pick for recreational runs and running errands. "It’s supportive and slightly firmer than my other running shoes. Also, the brand says that the shoe has an extra 2mm of foam in the forefoot to support the way a woman’s foot naturally lands, so I like the thoughtful innovation there.”
These are not your average hiking shoe. These sneakers promise more stability with a "gripper" rubber outsole that's meant to provide traction on the trails and a removable insole that provides a medium level of support inside the shoe.
Vionic has been recommended by podiatrists time and time again. This sneaker in particular offers plush cushioning in the midsole, lightweight construction and water repellant outer, according to the brand.
I personally tested these sneakers while preparing for the NYC marathon earlier this year. They have an increased amount of cushion compared to other sneakers I’ve tested, so there’s a bit of an adjustment period at first. However, I feel that they provide a great amount of support without feeling like you’re walking on hills all day. The support and cushioning is comfortable.
