Grilled Cajun Spiced Marinated Skirt Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 pound skirt steak
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoon Creole seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white and black pepper
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon roasted garlic
  • 1 tablespoon yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Place steak and all ingredients in plastic bag or nonreactive dish.

Refrigerate from one hour to overnight.

The longer you marinate, the more flavorful the meat will be.

Remove steaks from refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature.

Prepare gas or charcoal grill.

Season steaks with Creole seasoning and rub them with roasted garlic.

Grill steaks for 3 minutes on each side for medium rare temperature.

Take steaks off grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Garnish the steak with smothered roasted peppers and vidalia onions.
