There are those of us who relax best when we're tidying up. And there are those of us who probably will end up on an episode of "Hoarders" one day. But most of us live in-between, and we're usually lazy about how often we clean our homes.

For those folks — and for basically everyone — CleanMySpace.com's Melissa Maker shared five tips that will let you be both "lazy" and have a home of which you can be proud.

Never clean your shower again — for real! All you have to do is squeegee the soap scum and moisture off of the tiles or walls after each shower. Fill a dish wand with one part vinegar, one part soap and maybe some essential oils for scent. Simply scrub as you wash up.

Toilets

Toss a cup of Borax in the toilets overnight and shut the lid. Leave it overnight. In the morning, flush and get on with your day!

Trash bags

Leave new trash bags at the bottom of your trash can. Each time you empty the trash, you will have another one handy.

Pre-treat pots

Cleaning up after a nice dinner is no fun at all, so to avoid all that scrubbing, just toss a little baking soda and soap into warm water and let your cooking pans and pots soak while you eat. You will still have to clean, but it'll be a lot faster once you let it soak. (Dryer sheets can also help — watch the video below to see how.)

Refrigerator

It's no surprise that refrigerator shelves get gross over time. Line them with plastic or sticky wrap, and when you get a mess, peel it off and replace. No scrubbing necessary!
