Like just about everyone else, we're suckers for the Jonas Brothers. The New Jersey-raised brothers have been topping charts with hits like “Burnin’ Up” and “What a Man Gotta Do” and selling out concert venues for nearly 20 years now.
And this weekend, they are entering a new era with their latest album, "Greetings From Your Hometown," and a nationwide "Jonas20" tour that kicks off with a performance on the TODAY Show Plaza on Friday, Aug. 8.
The week has already brought plenty of memorable moments from our favorite band of brothers. It all started with a chat on TalkShopLive on Tuesday, Aug. 5, where Kevin, Nick and Joe chatted with comedian Chris Klemens all about their upcoming album. Though, don't worry if you didn't get the chance to tune in — you can still catch the full conversation below. Plus, you can also head to the site to grab a signed vinyl to add to your collection.
In an Instagram post, the Jonas Brothers shared that the new album was inspired by their own hometown.
"We went back to our hometown in New Jersey to shoot the cover for this album," they wrote. "We walked the streets we grew up on, visited the exact places where we sat while dreaming up what this band could be and felt that deep pull of where it all began. There’s something about being home that reminds you who you are. This album is filled with pieces of that, lifelong influences from our childhood and the sounds that we grew up on."
So far, the album's already-released singles, "Love Me To Heaven," "Slow Motion" and "No Time To Talk" have brought the perfect mix of danceable beats, catchy lyrics and a healthy dose of nostalgia. To make things even sweeter, the album's being released on Aug. 8 — exactly 19 years to the day after the release of their debut album, "It's About Time."
If you order through the TalkShopLive site, the album will ship on Aug. 11. There is a limit of four albums per household and shipping costs $11.99.
For a chance at hearing some of these new songs performed live, you can tune in to see the Jonas Brothers on the TODAY Plaza on Friday, Aug. 8, as part of the Citi Concert Series. If you're in New York City, you can attend the concert by waiting in the general admission line on the morning of the show. (For FAQs, click here.)
And if you can't catch them on the TODAY Plaza, you can grab tickets to one of their upcoming "Jonas20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour" shows. They'll be performing at venues across the country, starting with a show in their home state of New Jersey at MetLife Stadium on Aug. 10 and ending in Connecticut on Nov. 14.
