So, when I learned that dermatologists recommend treating the skin on the top of my head with the same consistency and care as the skin on my face, I decided to give this Dr. Groot serum a try.

How to use it
Thankfully, applying the solution is fast and easy, so I don't mind adding this as a regular step to my shower routine. After shampooing, just twist the cap and apply some of the product to the scalp by lightly squeezing the bottle. The directions don't share how long you should wait before rinsing it out, but I give it as much time as it would take me to wash my face or give my legs a quick shave. Then, I move on to conditioner as normal.
Side note: I also added the Dr. Groot Thickening Shampoo to my new routine to add some fullness back into my hair. Plus, the brand says it's a great product to combine with the scalp serum.

My scalp feels cleaner
Since my personal discovery of dry shampoo, I’ve stuck to a routine of only washing my hair two, maybe three, times a week. That means there’s usually a ton of buildup leftover from product, oil and unavoidable grime by the time I need to wash it.
Post-application and blow-dry, I could feel a difference immediately. My head felt lighter somehow, but the formula didn't take away the fullness of my naturally thick hair.
I also couldn't stop myself from running my fingers through my hair every few minutes or so because my hair felt so, so soft. Again, this is without any styling products!
