While much is still uncertain about how the potential tariffs might impact your wallet, the effects of the current 145% tariff on imports from China are already starting to be felt, with some prices on Amazon, Shein and Temu already rising.
Some brands have vowed not to raise prices — at least for the foreseeable future — while others have been open about the impact that the additional costs will have on their company and the reasons why they may need to increase prices as a result.
Below, we're highlighting some of the biggest brands that have announced possible price increases or have already started to implement them. Plus, we're sharing the products from each to buy now, before they potentially increase in price.
Procter & Gamble
An executive for Procter & Gamble, which owns popular home and parenting brands including Cascade, Dawn, Tide, Pampers, Head & Shoulders and more, said that the brand will likely increase some of its prices.
“There will likely be pricing — tariffs are inherently inflationary — but we’re also looking at sourcing options,” P&G CEO Jon Moeller said.

Adidas shoes have always been a popular choice, but even more so now that slim sneakers are trending. Frequently asked questions
According to experts we spoke to, much of the increased costs of the current and proposed tariffs are expected to pass to the consumer. How much they affect prices depends on the size of the tariff.
“For example, the 145% China tariffs on small electrical appliances like microwave ovens and hair dryers or on baby strollers will likely double (or nearly double) prices of these items due simply to the size of the tariffs in question,” Jason Miller, a professor and interim chairperson of the department of supply chain management at Michigan State University, shared.
The tariffs will likely affect a range of items, from grocery staples to electronics. Because many small appliances and electronics, baby items and toys are made in China, these categories are expected to be some of the most heavily impacted.
