Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 crisp apple (such as Fuji)
  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • Sea salt and pepper

    This tasty salad of warmed romaine lettuce and apples is a weeknight side dish that you can have on the table in minutes.

    Preparation

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium to medium-high heat.  Add apple slices to pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes until slightly tender and lightly browned.  Add romaine and sauté together for an additional minute until romaine is slightly wilted and bright green in color.  Season with salt and pepper and remove from heat.
