Chef notes

Make eggs more eggs-citing by marinating them in soy sauce, rice wine and sesame oil. This umami-packed ramen topping is a perfect quick snack. The eggs are also great on savory salads.

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 tablespoons sesame oil

Preparation

1.

Boil eggs for approximately 5 to 7 minutes for a soft-boiled interior.

2.

Add soy sauce, a splash of mirin and sesame oil to a small bowl.

3.

When the eggs finish boiling, peel and gently add them to the bowl with the soy marinade.

4.

Allow flavors to infuse in the fridge for at least an hour before serving. For a more intense flavor, marinate the eggs for at least 24 hours.
